Ar. Aznida Azlan is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Architecture, FRSB, UPM after joining UPM in March 2013.
She graduated from the University of Malaya in Bachelor of Science in Architecture in 2000 and worked for two years in MATA Architect.
She obtained her second degree from University of Malaya in 2005 and then worked as a graduate architect with DDA Architect in collaboration with RAM Architect.
In the firms, she was involved in various type of projects including housing (Guthrie, PKNS, private housing, etc), commercials (PKNS, private commercials, private hospitals, etc), and institutions (marine TLDM, Sepanggar, Bukhary Institute, etc).
She then joined Kuala Lumpur City Hall (KLCH), where she was involved in urban planning and development process including developing KL Local Plan 2020, Urban Design Guidelines, Heritage Guidelines and special urban area plan.
She also participated in KLCH owned project including Pustaka Peringatan-KL Arch, DBKL-PAM Jalan Tangsi Building, pedestrian bridges 4 phases,Taman Tasik Ampang Hilir, initial stage of River of Life development, heritage trails, and etc. Apart from that, she was also a committee member for the One Stop Center (OSC), urban design panel, heritage team and building inspection team. She was registered as a Professional Architect with Lembaga Arkite Malaysia (LAM) in 2012, after passing her Part 3 Examination in 2011.
Currently, she is the Principal of Aznida Architect and the Associate Director of MYA Architect doing projects such as rest and service
area (RSA), public housing, mix-development, institutions, offices, private housing, and warehouses.
