He is currently a lecturer in Alexandria University and creator of the University’s Grants, innovation and technology transfer centre (GITTC) which he established on a grant from the academy of scientific research. This comprises 4 offices:The Grants & Outreach office; Technology Transfer and Industry Collaborative office; Intellectual property Rights office and Entrepreneurship office.
Dr. Khaled has been responsible for developing and implementing the strategic plan for GITTC; establishing partnership and cooperation with higher education institutions worldwide, NGOs and international leading companies; organizing and managing exchange programs, partnerships and support university community with mobility grants (negotiating agreements, managing mobility); provide technical support and advisory services to international students; identification of funding opportunities; promotion and dissemination of information about funding agencies; support on proposal writing; providing administrative and financial support to the project team; promote the concept of innovation and Entrepreneurship, technical support for Entrepreneurs.
Dr. Khaled is also a reviewer and focal point for Misr Elkeir and European Union projects. He was selected by the Academy of Scientific Research as a member of the Supreme Committee to create offices for grants, projects and technology transfer offices and he is the founder and coordinator of the Egyptian network of technology transfer (ENIT) which includes 10 universities in Egypt. Dr. Khaled has conducted projects with funding from major international funders including Tempus, Erasmus Mundus, FP7 and others.
