(1966), Curator, critic and architecture historian, live and work between Milan and Naples. Associate Professor of Theory and History of Architecture, Department of Architecture and Industrial design “Luigi Vanvitelli”. Write and collaborates for the most important Italian and international magazines and for national magazines and newpapers such as L’Espresso, Corriere della sera, La Stampa and Repubblica. From 1995 he is the Editor for Architecture of Skira Publishing House. From 2001 and 2005 he is the Head Curator for Architecture of the Triennale of Milan. In 2008 he is the Curator of the Italian Pavillion at the London Design Biennial. In 2010 he is the Curator of the Italian Pavillion at the 12th International Architecture Exhibition at the Venice Biennale. From 2008 to 2018 he was the Scientific Director of the independent gallery FMG Spazio per l’Architettura Contemporanea, Milan. From the mid Nineties he curated important exhibition on contemporary architecture, photography and art for Italian and international institutions such as Triennale of Milan, Biennale of Venice, Annali of Naples, Moma, Columbia University, Moderna Museet Stockholm, Graham Foundation Chicago, National Museum of Architecture Basel, Design Biennial Singapore. As scholar and researcher on contemporary architecture he published books and critical essays on the relationship between crisis and continuity in today phenomena. He won the Ernesto Nathan Rogers Prize for Critic at the Biennale of Venice in 2006 and the Jean Tschumi UIA Prize for critic in 2008.
