Milovan Bratić (1958) holds a PhD in sport and physical education and is a full professor at the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education at the University of Niš. He finished his master’s studies at the Faculty of Physical Education in Novi Sad in 1993. He completed his PhD studies at the Faculty of Physical Education in Belgrade in 1997. He worked as an active officer in the Yugoslav Army from 1977 to 1991. He has started his job at the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education in Niš as a teaching assistant in 1994, then a full-time assistant (1996), docent (1998), associate professor (2003) and full professor (2008). He is teaching courses such as Combat Sports, Anthropological research in Sports and Sports Theory. Since 2012 is the Dean of the Faculty of Sport and Physical Education in Niš. He has published over 100 articles in various scientific journals some of which have been published in high-impact-factor journals. He is the member of the scientific committee in Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia.

Milovan Bratić is the president of Serbian Judo Federation and a vice-president of the Sports Association of Serbia. He was the selector of the student judo representation with which he took part at the Universiade in Belgrade in 2010 and in St. Germaine in 2012, as well as at the World Universiade Championship in Moscow in 2008. He is a member of the Committee for forming the Balkan Judo Federation and a member of the Committee of the Dan Collegium of the Judo Association of Serbia.
