Colors and cultures
In Islamic culture, green and gold are colors of paradise. Mosques throughout the Middle East are noted for their green and blue surroundings; for example, the most famous mosque in Istanbul is called The Blue Mosque.

Individual differences
Gender: children toys are categorized as boys or girls toys based on color. It was found that bold colored toys as such as red and black are classified as boys’ toys , while pastel colored toys such as pink and purple are classified as girls’ toys.           Age: children toys designed for young children are usually destinguished based on color, but as they grow up, the color becomes less gender stereotyped.

Colors and Interior design
Do you feel relaxed and calm when you see blue color? Do you feel anxious in a yellow painted room? Colors can dramatically change your mood, feelings and emotions. Also, they can either make or break a design. A sharp electric green would not be relaxing, but a dark blue-green might feel cold. The wrong red color used in a room will create a sense of entrapment rather than energy. The right hue is the main key to achieve the best design.

Colors and architecture
Color composition of an architectural building is an example of color set, which is assigned to different sections of the building such as: roofs, walls, bases and details. These colored areas are characterized by their form, function, size and position. In the scale of the building, not only harmony within color combination is important, but also its relation to particular elements of architectural structure.
