Introduction

Urban planning is a technical process involved in the development and design of land use in an urban environment, including the infrastructure of urban areas, such as transportation, communications, and distribution networks. Moreover, urban planning depends on engineering, architectural, and social and political concerns. Urban planning issues aim to establish a society with bases on land use to achieve sustainable development and meet the needs of the society members.

IEREK is aware that most of the time, the goal behind urban planning is to achieve economic prosperity so that a lot of concerns should be taken into consideration in order to improve the quality of life. It has become apparent that environmentalists, architects, technologists, policy creators and economists have to work together to ensure that planning and evolution can meet our needs nowadays without compromising the ability of future generations.

The international conference on "Urban Planning, Architecture Design for Sustainable Development (UPADSD)" aims to bring together scientists and other stakeholders from across the globe to discuss the latest scientific advances in the field.

The two previous editions of this conference were successfully organized.
